INCONCEIVABLE! For the life of me I cannot understand how this place has 3.6 stars. I am from Seattle so maybe the Mexican food is on a different plane down here? I ordered the #6, "Wet Burrito Green", carnitas. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to be ready. AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST BURRITOS OF MY LIFE. Out of thousands and thousands of burritos, this was top 20 for sure, no lie. It wasn't very spicy so I Tapatio'd it up. Deeeeee lish. Don't sleep on this place. Street parking at 2pm was not too hard to find.

I stopped by here to pick up a burrito for my partner late weekday night. It was really easy to find parking. The person at the counter was friendly and the service is prompt. Got the super burrito carnitas. My partner said it was the best burrito he has had in a long time. We revisited this place today. This time we got a veggie burrito and a super burrito carnitas. Their meat burritos are consistently excellent. I took away a star because I am a vegetarian. And I asked for a burrito with no rice. My burrito had rice in it and it didn't have much of anything other filling. The veggie burrito is advertised to include guacamole. I didn't find any guacamole in my burrito. So was a bit disappointed with the vegetarian burrito.

One of go to spots for quick and hearty burritos in the peninsula. Prices have gone up a little but that is pretty much the same story everywhere. I always go for the classic carnitas super burrito. Meat was well flavored, hearty amounts in the burrito, meat was not dry like some places. Friendly staff and be sure to ask for extra salsa and hot sauce to make your burrito even more delicious. I typically walk over but they have their own parking lot and there is ample parking in el Camino.

This is my mom's favorite taqueria and it's slowly becoming mine. I've had the food here on more than one occasion and it's been pretty consistent. Today I had a california burrito with hot sauce. The burrito was great, very filling, but the hot sauce I got was all heat and not much flavor. Had a horchata to go with it which was just the right sweet. I also had the churros here which are made fresh and are nice and soft in the center which I really like. The service here was a little slow since we showed up during peak lunch time. If you plan on swinging by, keep in mind that this place and the parking lot (which is tiny btw) tend to get busy. The restaurant has indoor seating as well as outdoor seating in the back underneath the trees which is really nice. Overall, a great taqueria IMO.

I have been coming here randomly since I work down the street. This place is always busy during lunch hour! I have tried their burritos and tacos and they are pretty good. Last week I tried the cheese enchiladas and veggie taco since I couldn't eat meat on Fridays, and it was good. I wish they gave me some hot sauce. I think people uabe to ask for hot sauce and I didn't. Some places they automatically ask if you want hot sauce but this place doesn't. I still will go here for the food though! I would suggest call ahead so by the time you get there, your food will be ready!

I get food to go often from Taqueria El Grullense when I happen to be driving out of Palo Alto around dinner time. I think the price/quality ratio is fairly good here. Its sort of like your average Mexican hole in the wall restaurant, but slightly better. I usually get the super nachos with carnitas and the enchiladas. The super nachos are my favorite, so much toppings that you get a good amount with each chip. The enchiladas are good, but sometimes they get watery, maybe from the little side salad. They give chips and salsa with togo orders, which I appreciate compared to many places that used COVID as an excuse to stop offering that. Not very healthy, but fulfills a craving every once in a while. I want to try more things here, but keep coming back for my same favorites.
